This week we continue our learning about the "Everybody" fiction section. We began with a discussion on how books are shelved in this section (ABC order by Author's last name). Then we began practicing ABC order! Using our smartboard, we played an ABC order train game (http://www.learningplanet.com/act/abcorder.asp) The students loved getting called up to the smartboard to chose with letter was next, first, or in the middle.

For our read aloud this week, I chose another Florida Reading Association nominated book. We read I Know an Old Teacher by Anne Bowen. The classes LOVED this silly book about a teacher that eats many different critters. With the predictable repetition and silly rhyming, the classes loved reading parts aloud with me!
